After 2 plus years of heart wrenching court dates and $1000 dollar attorney fees and hours of tears...its coming to an end. We will finalize her adoption May 20th! Im sooo excited!
! Bio dad is dh's nephew (he passed away a few months ago due to accidental illegal-drug overdose). Bio mom is INSANE! Had another baby that is sooo sick due to FAS and is still fighting for her lil life (she signed her rights over to her friend as soon as baby was born)! There will be NO contact with bio-mom or her family due to alot of drug, alcohol, and mental problems! We have contact with SOME of bio dads family due them being dhs family too. I have email and occasional phone contact with adoptive mother of new baby (who thankfully cut bio-mom out of her life too) ! I know that may sound a lil harsh but that woman is horrible! She almost killed both of these lil girls AND has since gotten pregnant AGAIN and had a mis-carriage!
BUT to get to the point we are sooo happy to finally be DONE with court. No more permission to tak her out of state, no more visits, ect ect! Im just ready I cant wait to see the birth certificate with my name on it yipee!
