Wow they are making this difficult on you! Whoever you are dealing with clearly knows nothing about trachs (or feeding tubes I'm sure).

Nope, not fair. I'm surprised that he's eligible for 96 hours of nursing care if he's not on a vent though? From everything I've gotten from you, he's pretty stable, so I don't really understand. I mean, suctioning and trach changes get to be easy and routine. Not to mention that G buttons are super, super easy.

With all that nursing care, you should be just fine to work outside the home. If there is anyway to get include pulmonology in these discussions, I think that would be very helpful.
