My family and I are interested in adopting one or two older girls. We have two biracial daughters and one hispanic/caucasian daughter. My husband and I are an interracial couple (AA/Caucasian). Our daughters are 15, 12 and 2, so we are looking to adopt a child or children between 4 and 9. We live in Florida and do not mind participating in Inter-State adoption again. We have a homestudy already. We considered adopting through the State of Florida but the government agencies here are slow to respond, if they respond at all. Getting someone to call back is like finding an oil well in my backyard. Is anyone aware of any private agencies (or State) that we can approach? Are there any agencies that specifically work with older children? Would love to hear from you.
