Are you eligible for any unemployment benefits, or have you already exhausted them? It seems so unfair that you have to wait until your sixth month of pregnancy before you're eligible for TANF assistance. I just don't know what people are supposed to do when they're in financial crisis. So many people in our country automatically assume that the government helps pregnant women, children, the elderly, and the disabled...but that's just not true in many cases.

I'm sorry I don't have any answers for you. Check into your local university hospital, though...they might be able to help as far as prenatal care goes.

No I can't qualify for any unemployment since I was not technically laid off (my boss passed away). Same thing to me, but I guess the gvt doesn't agree. I will ask Medicaid tomorrow if they have a list of Dr's since I was planning to be there when they open (they're only open 3 hours on Sat so hopefully I can get through!)

Good idea and thank you for responding!
