My oldest had this issue until puberty. He hated it! There were medications that we tried but they would only work for a few nights and then stop. So we started saving those for overnights and camp outs. He just used pull ups and then good nights at home. He is just such a sound sleeper. I think he still doesn't get up at night, but his bladder is bigger and can hold it. Sometimes when he was little I would wake him up to go to the bathroom a couple of times at night. Once right before I went to bed (I am a night owl) and then dh who was getting up earlier than me would get him up at like 5 to go. That helped some, but then our schedules changed and it was no longer something we could do, and he never woke up all the way anyway.
