Okay, I admit that a lifebook is one of those things I mean to get around to but haven't done yet. I wrote copiously about our adoption experience and my son's birth...and when our computer crashed a couple of months ago I lost ALL of it! Arggh. So now I have a box of all of his stuff and I am rewriting his story. I am going to put it in a 3-ring binder in laminated sheets. That way I can add sheets as time goes by, and I can add more age appropriate information as he grows up. He is only 2, so I hope to get this together soon...at least by the time he understands what the word adoption means. We have a very open relationship with his birthfamily including visits, so I always share his story when we see them or talk to them, but I think it is important to have it in book form so he can look at it whenever he wants to.
