1)Chile works with Hague with other countries.
2) When applications are finished then placed with in Chile back to Sename, the wait for a older child is (LESSER) than a younger child, because Chile first
is to place children back into their own families first if they can.
3) time frames can be from time you have been fully accpted from Sename to be able to Adopt, can take12 mths to hear that you have a referrral for a OLDER child say 6yrs and up.. and up to 24mths for a younger child say 4 5. Children ages that are most for a international Adoption are older child, or after 5 yrs up wards.
People should not place all their emphasis on simply wanting a Baby.. or say 2-3 4 yr old, as you can miss out on a beautiful child just because their is a misconception about the older child.
ANy wya Chile does not have any polciy that allows them to Adopt just babies out Internationally, as Sename states children available for International Adoptions are mostly 5 upwards.
Ages can vary for situations of health/ or as a sibling group... children do not have to be blood related to be called Siblings, but have that emotional bond growing up together while in a Orphanage , and would be in their best interest not to part them.
Remember Chileans place children in families, and are not interested finding babies/ children for couple, may be sound a bit of a twist of words, but its the children that comes first.
Hope all this helps...
