I am really excited about the posts for this week. Today, was kind of a filler while I processed all the reposnses I have got from families and individuals in the last few days.
I am really excited by Tuesday's post:
ADULT COLOMBIAN ADOPTEES -- What they wish their parents knew.
I got a great response from Colombian Adult Adoptees and was surprised when I found one thing that all had in common. Check it out in their own words. I tried to pick a sampling from the responses that most represented all the responses I got.
WEDNESDAY -- A Discussion about Your New Culture
THURSDAY -- One Common, often hidden, health aliment found in Adopted Kids from Colombia.
FRIDAY -- Advice from parents who have been there and done that (this is hopefully going to be a new feature)
Thanks for those who responded to my questions both publicly and privately. I would love to have your help for the BEEN THERE DONE THAT portion of the Blog. Any suggestions would be very helpful.
Also, based on many private responses from my initial question, I am working on a few blogs about Post-Adoptive Depression. Anyone that would like to share their own experience -- anonymously if you'd prefer -- I would really appreciate your help. I would like to know:
1: Age of your Adopted Child
2: Did you have other children in your home and their ages?
3: How did you realize you had PAD? What were your symptoms? How long did they last? Did you seek professional help?
Feel free to answer as many or as few of the questions as you wish. I think that many people can learn from others experiences.
