My husband and I have been fostering and adopting for over 20 years. The Holidays were never an issue with the kids we fostered or adopted. Like your grandchild they were happy to recieve presents all the time. Many of our older kids had very sad memories of holidays of the past. Their birth parents did not always act the best at those times. You can PM me for more information if you want.
