I don't need the points (because I don't know what to do with them) but the contests are fun so here goes:

1. Maybe has two answers? Pres. Lincoln declared the first official Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 26, 1863. He repeated the act the following year and several presidents after him did the same but the dates were arbitrary. On November 26, 1941 FDR signed a bill to fix the date to the 4th Thursday in November thus making it an "official" holiday.

2. 1853

3. Gone with the Wind was published June 30, 1936
