(01/14/09) HOLLAND TOWNSHIP - Officials say three children named after Nazi figures, who were removed by the Department of Youth and Family Services late last week, are still in the agency’s custody.
Holland Township Police Chief David Van Gilson says his department doesn’t know why 3-year-old Adolf Hitler Campbell and his two little sisters, JoyceLynn Aryan Nation and Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie, were removed from their parents’ Hunterdon County home.
The Campbells made headlines last month when a bakery refused to write their son’s name on a birthday cake. Gilson says police have never been called to the home for allegations of child abuse, but have been called to the home before on noise and domestic related issues between Heath Campbell and his former wives. He adds that in this instance, Heath and Deborah Campbell were very cooperative. A hearing regarding the children’s placement is scheduled for Thursday.
