I live in the north metro area of Minneapolis.

It was -22ºF this morning. I think the high today was -5ºF.

It's supposed to warm up this weekend, possibly as warm as 30ºF on Saturday. My youngest isn't going to like that. The ice will get soft on the rink.

Once winter sets in around here, I'd rather it didn't get over about 20ºF too often - any warmer than that and snow gets sticky for skiing and ice gets soft for skating. For you folks in the southern states and other warm climates, no, I'm not crazy. It doesn't really take all that long to get adjusted to our cold weather. I don't even bother to zip up my coat unless it's below zero or I'm going to be out for a long time.
