I can't wait till all three of my boys are teens. (They will be all teens at the same time! WHAT were we thinking?!) So anyway, Ds1 was disassembling one of the stereo speakers. ?! When asked why he would do something destructive like that, he said he was just trying to make it match the other speaker that was broken. (rowdy kids + speakers = broken speakers)
The sad thing is that I knew what he was going to say before he said it. I'm able to understand his mind.
I'm scared.
So just knowing why a kid does something doesn't mean it will make sense or give you any feelings of closure and understanding.
And I agree with Mike. V doesn't want you to know what the conversation with M is about, or that he's had it at all.
