True, but when dh and I got into adoption, we decided that we wanted the kids that no one else wanted. There were certain special needs that dh said he could not handle. Now, we just feel that we are suited for limb different children, because we already have a supply of walkers, crutches, wheelchairs, ramps, etc. We have a good knowledge of prosthetic limbs and adaptive devices and have access to them. So we just feel like if we adopt again, it will be another limb different kid, cause that is what we have the resources to do well and other people might not. Dh is not sure he wants to adopt again, but the times he is tempted are usually when someone is talking about a limb different kid that is not wanted or not getting what they need. He knows that many people see missing limbs as an insurmountable issue, but we don't. So if I am going to tempt him into taking the plunge again, it will be a limb different kid.
