But more importantly...why are you blue today?? Still thinking about you guys waiting.
Any news on your case? Hang in there!!!!!!!!!!!

YESSSS...I'm not sure where to start. I've been around with our s/w, the USCIS, and our atty since last week. One minute we're on
the next, we're literally trying to find a loophole to see how we can continue at all; it just does not stop.
Today we had another small miracle, but miracle nonetheless. The USCIS in L'ville has been very helpful so far and Friday we go to be RE-fingerprinted. We're also having to do yet another h/s update (3rd one in 2 yrs? I'm losing count), but we have to do that in order to keep our I-171h current. They are not even processing the new I-800's for Guatemala yet (which replaced the I-600's). Long story, but we had to wait until we got the word from our atty of proceeding Guat-side (again), which came last week; then at that point, contacting our s/w U.S. side only to find out yes indeed the prints had expired (we were told in October she would do the extension and she did not; another long story); anyway our I-171h exps 2/25/09, so I'm on a mission now to get the world's fastest h/s update done. If the I-171h lapses, it's OVER. Period. The h/s worker argued me on this and said we could not submit an update prior to the expiration (and therefore couldn't request the extension from USCIS) until AFTER the deadline, which would have nullified our clearance and thus, ended our adoption. I pushed (and pushed some more), and the s/w agreed to "double check" with USCIS and sure enough, had we waited (and followed her advice), then yes, it would've been too late. Instead of an apology, I got a "it's a miracle" email back, and a "go for it" from her. Yeah, ya think? We've been fighting for this boy, I mean FIGHTING with someone for him constantly since we began 15 mts ago. Sorry, that was the short version. If I've confused you just ask
