DD was just under a year when her teenage aunt painted her toes. "Just her toes, and it's just pink" she told me when I got there to pick DD up.
She'd been doing my 4-year-old niece's nails and my niece wanted DD to have her's done too.
I wasn't thrilled, but OK, one time is fine.
Now if they were doing nails and DD wanted hers done I'd say yes. When we were old enough to hold still while they dried, we could have our nails painted.
I agree with other posters in that it's just a fun thing to do that's unique. You can pick the colors you want, decals, etc.
And if you hate it mom, you can always just take it off.
