The reasons they would be concerned about the morbid obesity is not because he couldn't be a parent, but because of the possible side effects of being placed in that category, the worst of which is to actually die from a heart attack.
Your post reminds me of a Dallas man who was denied adoption of his relative who had been in his care for some time because the judge said he was too fat. Eventually it was overturned, but I thought that was crazy. He had been this child's parent for a long time and because he was fat, the judge didn't think he could be a good parent. Please!
I hope you get his figured out soon and back on the road toward that license.
