We're in the same office as you (Hunt-Somers-Warren) and we had it out with them this summer over this and their unwillingness to answer questions from other states in regards to us as potential adoptive parents for kids in foster care of other states.

We won. They have to answer questions. I pushed it all the way up to Trenton. They will also supply a copy of the homestudy--redacted (which is what they call it when they don't give the supporting information). I have a copy of it and truly, it has way more info that you realize and well enough for another caseworker to make informed judgment on. IF they need more, you can deal with it then. But like you, I was now looking at having a private agency do a homestudy that might've never resulted in a placement.

Hunterdon is seriously low on placements. The concept of children suffering abuse there is new and the mindset that it doesn't exist there is still strong.

AND I CAN'T BELIEVE THE FACILITATOR IS GONE ALREADY???? Didn't she JUST get there???
