We were "matched" 5 weeks before DD was born.
I'll never forget having DH's friend over and drinking a margarita three weeks before the baby's due date. He was helping us paint the nursery. He hadn't figured out "why" we were painting this room baby yellow and I said, "well, we are expecting a baby in three weeks." He kept looking at my margarita!!! haha.
It was the most nervewracking five weeks of my life (well actually it extended until TPRs were signed).
I don't think I would ever "match" again with more than 6-8 weeks. Just couldn't do it for my sanity (I also don't think my agency will "match" until the third trimester. I know DD's birth mom was working with them for a couple of months before the "match.")
