Thank you everyone - for all the kind words !!
We are trying to grow out Maya's hair. She had a trim/even out that morning (although you could never tell, her hair is a bit wild, LOL). It grows very, very slowly and the curls are very tight. When it's wet it reaches a little way down her back, but then as it dries, boing!, back up. I have stick straight hair, so I'm very jealous.
