I don't know how I feel about all of this, to be honest. I was always a size 12-14 and always felt bad about it. I would try this diet and that diet and nothing would work for long term weight loss. A year ago I joined the Y and started exercising. When I ate, I thought about all the work I had done, and did I want to ruin it by eating junk? I also realized I needed to take ownership of what I was eating, and not blame it on everything else in my life. I have said it here before, but, the only one who can control what goes in my mouth is me!! That was so liberating!!
I have lost 50 pounds so far. I think I am done, because I am way thinner than I have ever been. I basically had to become a vegan. I am lightening up on everything, though. I ate some chicken tonight!!! I still cook regular food for my family. I am also up to running between 3 and 6 miles 5 times a week. Oh yeah, and I LOVE PILATES!!
So, if I can do all of this, all of you can. Certainly. I was so not the candidate for weight loss, and I managed to do it. No fad or crash diets involved! Just steady, regular exercise and healthy eating!!
