do some bi-racial baby's skin look white?

We adopted our son, who is now 1 month old and were told that he was bi-racial (black/white). The mother would never say anything about the father, other than he was black. I am wondering about this because my son's skin is lighter than mine (me being cc). Is this possible with aa/cc babies.

My doctor said that he looked full cc.

Just curious what other family's aa/cc looked like.

thanks

Jen
