What I've heard
I've heard that the actual inspection of the house is a ten minute walk thru, if that. They're checking to make sure that your chemicals and medications are locked up (behind a kid-safe handle/cabinet). They're looking for at least one fire extinguisher per floor, smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors and safe walking paths.
The majority of their visit, I've been told, is about discussing the paperwork you have to fill out beforehand in your packet.
Hope that helps.
