This is one of the first talks my mom and I had before I began the application for adoption (i'm in the middle of the process, have no children yet)...
she told me that after the initial placement and adoption of course she will say that her grandkids are adopted, but after a while, they will just be her grandkids with no explanation and I need to be ok with people making assumptions.
Sometimes people are just nosey. I'm sure that it's easier said then done and I will be having to answer this for myself when I have a live child or children with me.
