hi katy, i am not absolutely certain my birth-son was "formally" adopted by a stepmother. nonetheless, i am seeking his whereabouts in southern california, as i have not seen him since he was 12 years old. there was a very contentious custody case between my son's father and myself, mostly brought on by a new wife. bottom line, it was made impossible for me to see my son, and i beleive that 16 years is long enough for all to bury the hatchet. it is a 50-50 chance my son WAS adopted, as well as was not. i really don't know where to go, what to do, how to get started here, and you are my first contact in this direction. please help if you are able, as well as to ideas of what i may be doing on my own. you may also contact me if you wish at jjustuswoman@yahoo.com. any help would be greatly appreciated. joni
