I agree with Shelby and Jules too......my hubby calls them the "let's brag about our family letters......." In past years I have thought about sending a letter that says something along the lines about what my life is REALLY like....

"Dear Friends and Family:

Well...another year has past.....hubby and I have gained more weight and more gray hair. We are tired and old. Hubby is working like crazy....we never see him. Although he is always working, his clients don't have the money to pay him ... I try so hard to keep up with housecleaning, bills, shopping, laundry, etc but I am falling further behind.....

Son # 1 started his first year in college. He seems to be having a great time but we have no idea about his grades. He loves living away and his new found freedom and we are hoping that we see a 4.0 on his report card and not on a breathalizer. He doesn't have much time to spend with his family but always has time to send that heartfelt text message to mom and dad..." I am broke...send money..please!" ( at least he says please, right?)

Son # 2...well...he has discovered girls.....yippee! They call all day and night and when he is not on the phone with them, he is busy texting them. His hair is way too long and he isn't too much into showers or shampoos or clean clothes for that matter....( hmmm....maybe the girls will soon realize this and leave him alone until he is more hygienically pleasing!)

Son # 3 and daughter spend most of the day arguing.....doesn't matter about what....they just seem to spend a good chunk of time arguing about everything and anything. Hubby and I are getting pretty good at referring....

I guess we were really wrong calling daughter a princess for all those years because now she truly thinks she is one. She iinforms us that " princesses can do whatever they want"....hmmmmm...I think NOT!

So...anyhow that sums up what is going on at our house...hope all is well with you and yours.....Happy Holidays"

Seriously now..my family and kids are really great and I adore them all to pieces but I often really do want to write a very realistic Holiday letter.....
