Wow, it is so hard to believe that 6 years ago I was on my way to Guatemala to meet my son Daniel for the first time. Lucky for me, my parents met me in Atlanta and we were 4 hours late taking off due to fog and ice but we landed at 1:AM and at 12:PM, Danny was with me for a short visit. Now my angel is 6 and I cannot tell you how fast it has gone (however when they are sick or up all night it seems so slow
)
Here is a photo of our first meeting and the second the one on the stairs at La Casa Grande is one on December 22 when Danny was placed in my arms forever.
While the memories make me so warm and fuzzy, I feel so sad that so many are still waiting and so many will never have the chance to parent a child from Guatemala.
