In Spencer's room, we have a nightlight that is built into a plug cover. We had to take the old plug cover off and screw this one on. So, it canot be pulled out of the wall. And it has a plastic cover over the bulb so little fingers can't touch the bulb. (We got it in the safety section at the baby store.)
In Cameron's room we have a little lamp. It is one of those $10 lamps from Target. It can take up to (I think) a 25 watt bulb. We keep a 4 watt nightlight bulb in it so it is not quite as bright. It sits on top of his dresser so he cannot get to it.
Both my kids need some light, plus I need it when I check on them! Spencer's night light we bought during our ICPC stay because he screamed the first night unless we kept the light on in the room. (Darn NICU...)
