Red face Imaginary Friends....(not mine) Long

Is it normal for a toddler to have them, and spend so much time "playing" with them? Tati's "best friend" used to be her bug bug, (her lovey). She brought it with her from Guatemala and she still plays with it all the time (and sleeps with it, takes it everywhere). But, now she has several "invisible friends" that she plays with and talks about all day and I am wondering if other little ones do this.

Now, she does not have any other little ones to play with so she spends her days with me. I do spend as much time playing and reading with her as I can and other than that, she is following me around while I do chores, etc. Her freinds are all characters from books, and her one TV show that she watches (Little Miss Spider) she seems to think that she lives in sunny patch with squirt, shimmer, dragon......you get the idea. For the last week or so, she has one or more of them "with her" most of the time. She sits on the edge of her chair at the table to make room for them. She insists that they have a plate of food most of the time and this morning when I went to her closet to get her clothes, she picked out an outfit for "snowdrop" and then wanted me to dress her. I went along with it but then she said I needed to pull the shirt down over snowdrops head so she could see her eyes! I guess I don't know how to dress invisible creatures! Oh, and I have to be careful not to step on them and to watch out for the flying ones too

So I guess I am wondering, do I play along with it? Will she be taking these friends to school with her some day? Anyone else have "invisible/imaginary friends" staying with them?
