Respite for the school day?

Has anyone used a respite provider (training in AD) as an "alternative" to school? Both my kids use school as a complete and total manipulation, lying, cheating, stealing session. My AT said that they should go to Miss XXX's house since they can't handle the privilege of school. I called the lady and she said that they would be doing homework all day and if they didn't comply with that they would be cleaning etc. It basically sounds like my house after school. I just don't know what to do anymore. Heck, some of you are so good - you may do this for others??? I know there aren't any miracles, but I feel like sending them back to school day after day of bad behavior is ridiculous. I could keep them home and do the same thing - separate them and do homework all day...but I feel like that might be punishing ME! If I could homeschool I would - but I am a woman who knows my limits and when they leave for school each morning I have an hour or two of relief before I start thinking about what they are going to do to screw up today!
