Wisdom~ We are having a similar issue with DS. He just turned 8 months last weekend. I tried mashed potatoes on Thanksgiving. He spit them out while making the funniest face. I know it is a texture thing- He gags when I gave him the banana puff snacks and cheerios. I had broken them up so small that I know he wasn't actually chocking, but it did scare me none the less. We have tried the baby teething toast and cookies and he has done just fine. I am going to try the stage 2 foods just to get him used to the thicker textures.
I guess we just keep trying ; )
