From the CDC
HPV infection. Approximately 20 million Americans are currently infected with HPV, and another 6.2 million people become newly infected each year. At least 50% of sexually active men and women acquire genital HPV infection at some point in their lives.
STD Facts - Human papillomavirus (HPV)
HPV can happen to anyone. Even someone that has only one sexual partner..... Unless that person is tested for it or you completely trust that they are a virgin, you could be exposed if they have even been with one other person.
To say that women who get cervical cancer are more likely to be promiscuous is judgemental and offensive.

Oh no! I am SOOOO sorry i didn't word that better!!! You are SOOOO right. I was *not* intending to be judgemental. I truthfully just really misspoke about it. I am so sorry. I wasn't trying to say that was the only way. It does sound like that is what I meant and I am truly sorry!
