From the CDC
HPV infection. Approximately 20 million Americans are currently infected with HPV, and another 6.2 million people become newly infected each year. At least 50% of sexually active men and women acquire genital HPV infection at some point in their lives.
STD Facts - Human papillomavirus (HPV)
HPV can happen to anyone. Even someone that has only one sexual partner..... Unless that person is tested for it or you completely trust that they are a virgin, you could be exposed if they have even been with one other person.
To say that women who get cervical cancer are more likely to be promiscuous is judgemental and offensive.

Thanks for posting this Belle. My 23 year old daughter has recently gone through cervical cancer. I am highly offended on her behalf by a stranger calling her a "promiscuous girl". She's had two partners. And she'd be the first to argue that the treatment wasn't "easy". I didn't think to ask her about the "cut" of her boyfriend. Unbelievable. Why is it that as women we are so judgmental of other women?
