Nester is along the lines of the Little Drummer Boy...

Nester's a donkey with super long ears and is teased by everyone...He and his mom are caught in a snowstorm, and she dies trying to protect him from the elements...Ultimately, he's the one who brings Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem...but YEESH!!

Emmett Otter is about a group of otters who like to play music...Well, Emmet wants to play a washtub guitar thing, and puts a hole in his mom's washtub...So on Christmas eve they have to play in a competition to win money to buy her a new washtub...There's a "mean" group they play against - I think they're snakes or eels or something...

Seriously - this stuff is so random, it makes me wonder who is writing it...But if they happen to come across my tv, you can bet I'll be watching!!

Oh my Gosh talk about a flashback! Emmett Otter, wow. That was huge for us...it was a Jim Hennson production.

Yah know what, IMO I think we need more of those old school Hennson-ish shows and less cheaply produced "Bratz" Christmas specials. (Maybe someone somewhere will hear my plea....LESS narcissistic variety shows - cheapo straight to dvd cartoons & MORE Muppets pleeeeaassssee )
