This exact thing happened to us in June. We received a 3AM phone call from our DD's birthdad telling us that he and DD's birthmom just had another baby girl. Our first DD was only 17 months at the time. They asked us to adopt the baby and we said yes. We just couldn't imagine not taking her. We couldn't imagine them not being together. Yes, money was tight, but we pulled from here and there to pay and we are hoping to finalize in December to take advantage of the tax credit in 2009.
The last 5 months have been tough...it is hard having two so close together and money is tight right now, but it has all been worth it!!
In the end you have to do what feels right for your family. I wish you lots of luck in your decision.
