I agree the "are they sisters ?" question is one we get a lot since we are adopting two at the same time. The other one we get is "what happened to their real mom?" to which I smile brightly and say "Oh, you mean their birth mom?" That usually shuts them right up! I know they don't mean to be rude and I try to give them the benefit of the doubt and am hoping that over time people will become more aware of the comments they make. I could be dreaming however!
