I am thankful that my adoption journey in Guatemala is complete.

I am thankful that 2 years ago at Thanksgiving I made my first trip to Guatemala to visit a little child -- even though the b-mom decided to keep her, that visit nevertheless led me to my dear daughter.

I am thankful for my beatiful, smart, funny (and sometimes trying) dear daughter who is napping down the hall. I am thankful that she can say "mama, mama" to me even though she often won't let me leave her sight. I am thankful for her beatiful laugh, her dark eyes, and her curly hair.

I am thankful for the wonderful foster family who cared for & loved & adored my little girl for more than 14 months.....even though they knew she would leave them one day.

I am thankful for this forum because I have learned so much from all of you.

Happy Thanksgiving....this is definitely a time of year to "count your many blessings"
