To get the hair to turn out non frizzy, put some type of light oil on the hair (my favorite is jojoba oil) after you've blown it dry. Also there's a product by Joico you can put on damp hair, prior to blow drying, to help with the frizz. You may have done this, but when blow drying and pressing the hair (with an electric comb), do it in small sections. Using the electric comb takes practice and you were pretty courageous to try it! I don't know how course your DD's hair is in it's natural state, but that has a lot to do with how it turns out. The Obama girls' hair doesn't seem too course in it's natural state making it easier to get the straightened look.
