Hi,
I asw this thread on the main forum page. I am actually an adoptee but my bio son has Autism. I firmly believe that the combination of the flu shot and 4 vaxes in one visit triggered his ASD (autism spectrum disorder). He lost words and lots of skills, eye contact and was just different after that visit. I have done quite a bit of research on this. Spreading out the vaxes and delaying is the safest way to go IMO. The vax schedule has doubled in the last 10 years and I believe tripled on the last 20 years. Don't quote as I am pretty sure that is accurate but I can't site it right now. Yes, therimosol was ordered to be removed from production of vaxes in 2000 BUT there was still years left of supply containing the mercury on the shelves. My son was born 11-03 and there was still vaxes left with therimosol. The flu shot he received in '05 was from the adult supply as that year the supply was scarce and kids and elderly were given anything that was available. Regardless of the thermisol, there is still a great deal of toxins in the vaxes and the environment that some small children cannot handle and their little immune systems are too immature to release toxins on their own. The toxins remain in the body causing damage a.k.a ASD.
I am not anti-vax at all. I just think the vax schedule pushed on us by our peditricians is just too agressive and fast for the little ones. Why do we need to cram it all in the first 24 months of life? Dr. Sears has a wonderful schedule that is much safer. You have every right to delay and refuse vaccinations. No doc can inject your child without your signature. Just be careful and be informed. So for many kids with ASD, gentics loaded the gun and the environment pulled the trigger.
My son is beautiful, smart and the light of our life. he is happy and sweet. But we have to teach everything all over again to him. He is almost 5 but developmentally he is about 2. It's so hard to watch him work so hard to relearn and master a skill he had at 12 months.
The above is completely my opinion and experience with ASD and vaxes. I hope you don't mind me piping in.
