Hi all - FINALLY I found a forum on adoption "thank god"!
I have a question to ask and feel like I am a grain of sand in the Sarhara desert.
Ok, my wife and I have attended the adoption process but I have a question via taxes.
Hypothetically, say it takes roughly $5K to begin the process. And ofcourse will take a bit more before we go in the book.

If I pay $5K now, can I claim that in my 2008 taxes? And if I need to pay another $5K to get in the book March 2009, do I get to claim that in 2010?
So does it go like this:
$5K refund from 2008 taxes
$5K refund from 2009 taxes
I think I am elgible for something like $11650 so I am not sure if I only get refunds the day we adopt or if it can be broken out per year.
