Thanks for your input. I was speaking about the contract post adoption. The parents are seperated and continue to make poor choices and I do not see them leaving it to me. the state is pushing for mediation to end this sooner and not deal with a trial. A lawyer, who had adopted via foster care, advised my support group not to sign any legal documents when it comes to visitation or pictures or phone calls. She was for verbal agreements.

I know the state pushes mediation in order to save money and not necessarily for the best interest of the child.
