Homeschooling foster to adopt children
I have 4 foster kids we are planning to adopt, assuming TPR goes through soon as expected. Because they are still "foster" I don't even know if I can legally do this, but I have been thinking how really helpful it would be if I could homeschool the youngest (currently in kindergarden). I also have a bio son supposed to start kindergarden next year. I have only had her a couple months, she and ds are getting along fantastic. I think if I could keep her at home for a year or two I could easily teach her what she would be learning at school, and I could spend tons more time giving her the attention she craves. She has had several placements but no one really showed her much love before, except big sister. Anybody else doing this? Was getting permission to homeschool fc difficult? I'd appreciate any input!
