I am just finishing this book now and it really is one of the best books I've read on the AIDS crisis and Ethiopia/Africa and the "orphan problem" its created. I like it because it is personal and emotional (seriously I have broken down wailing - not just sniffling - in certain parts) but it also gives tons fo facts and real info on the crisis in a super readable way. It also gives a really nice account on basic Ethiopian history which I was completely ignorant on. I myself have written tons of papers for school on HIV and sub-Saharan Africa, and I worked at the federal government level as an HIV/AIDS policy advisor and I have learned
tons that is just not discussed in other books or articles. Caveat - you may not want to read it if you want a small family - it really makes you want to take in as many of these kids as you possibly can!
