I could tell you not to worry, that it will happen, but that probably won't help. We feel how we feel.

Just wanted to tell you that we decided to go for #2 a few months ago. I spent the first 2+ months terrified. So terrified that I considered backing out. One afternoon I made a 180 degree turnaround for reasons unknown to me. Instead of the usual fear of sleep deprivation, I began to fear we'd never be chosen again and really became excited at the thought of another child. Now I sometimes have to really work to fight those "what if it never happens" feelings.

FWIW, I think you're normal. It's hard not to fear what is out of our control.
