We choose a child or children from a few local trees, and also are part of the local community "caring" program in the town my husband works.
I would like to do more. I would love to donate some of the items I can in the fall like my apple sauce etc to food shelters, but they don't accept them. We did donate our "cleaning out" items from our pantry which happened when DH went low sodium, and again when I went gluten free. There were a LOT of boxes of mac and cheese 
I'm working on my photography, and once I feel like I'm better I'm going to send cards to local teen mothers programs and offer my services. Maybe WIC too...I just don't feel like I'm there yet

10/07 - We start home study visits, requirements, and paperwork!
12/07 - Approved to adopt.
01/28/08 - Tyler is in our arms! He is less that 48 hours old!
11/15/08 - FINALIZE in St. Louis on National Adoption Day!
06/22/09 - Maybe we should do this again? 
06/25/09 - Start the official paperwork to update our home study and make Tyler a big brother. 
07/13/09 - Match with a 2.5 month old baby BOY! 
07/28/09 - Matty is in our arms!
