I make alot of food from scratch. And we shop the clearence racks. We also make good use of the library and use net flix for movies. As for schooling, we do alot of work together, Science, History, Bible study, Art. Then Reading, Math, one on one. Let me know if you have other questions.

For the younger kids, we do some subjects together. Like my 3rd and 4th grader we do English together and Science. Math is seperate though. I do history with my 12 year old, 8 year old and 9 year old. My 15 year old does most subjects on his own.

My 5 year old is a foster child, so he's in public school. That leaves the 3 year old and 1 year old. I just give the 3 year old some alphabet coloring sheets when she wants to "do school" or occassionally I do something else, like the construction paper bear for the letter "B", made of circles. I let her make letters with playdough also.

So what are your favorite big family recipes?
