Sorry on my late response but want to thank you all for your great advice.
I know I had the same problems with his teacher last year and with good communication and time she was an awesome teacher and my son loved her. So I am approaching this year the same way. It is just that we do have a new principal this year and don't know her real well and she is not as accessible as the previous principle.
This week has been a good week....no head wounds....lol
