Thanks wantaskinbaby for sharing and I echo your sentiments. I love the quote of Ronald Reagan regarding the issue of Life/Abortion:
"I've noticed that everybody that is for abortion has already been born." ~Ronald Reagan, quoted in New York Times, 22 September 1980.

As an adoptee I recognize the amazing privilege of the gift of life- knowing that had I been conceived today I would have been most likely a victim of abortion. ( my birth mother was 32 years of age with cancer and a communicable disease, alcoholism and a rocky marriage. I came 2 mos early- a real risk for the mother- but abortion was not a legal option back then. I am so thankful!!! The law of the land in 1955 was Life for babes in the womb- the law embraced the sanctity of human life.

I love Reagan's quote- how callous and selfish people can become when someone's "choice" did not impact whether they lived or died or a loved one lived or died. How detached people can become from the true realities and the tragedy and suffering of abortion ( You rarely hear about how women navigate emotionally AFTER an abortion ) Choosing abortion is death and a finality, choosing to parent or choosing adoption is a life-giving option that lives on and gives HOPE.

I agree, if a candidate cannot support the "least of these" the unborn- who have no voice and are defenseless and helpless to save themselves- it does shine a light on their character on all matters.

Blessings,
Jody
