This is an interesting concept. And the exact opposite of what I have experienced. I was absolutely afraid to parent my daughter because I feared that I wouldn't bond with her. Very interesting train of thought though, Fran. Got my brain moving.

A note: My daughter's family was open to either gender but wanted a girl because they already had three boys.
