I don't know other people's reasons for wanting a girl over a boy. We are open to both. However, we both want a girl b/c DH already has a boy. We want to do the other girly stuff this time around. However, I can tell you that at different stages, boys are easier than girls, and vice versa in other ages. (i.e. A 16 y.o. boy w/ testosterone rushes is way more difficult than a 16 y.o. girl. On the other hand, there is nothing in the world scarier than a 13 y.o. girl on a hormone rush, and it tends to last for a longer time, and they can hold a grudge like there is no tomorrow.)
